BREAKING: After nearly a century, Anna’s Hoagies got a new paint job

Bittersweet;

Saturday August 2nd 2025 was our last day in business,

After 26 years and 8 months Dan & Carol are hanging up their aprons, they are the fourth generation owners of Anna’s.

Dan has been standing behind the counter for 41 years, he started working at Anna’s when he was 11, Carol was 15. It was love at first sight. Their 3 daughters Alyssa, Emily, Kayley have worked there as the 5th generation.

Dans parents Bill & Carol were the 3rd generation along with their sons Dennis and Bill.

Dans grandparents Willie & Evelyn were the 2nd generation

Dans great grandparents Joe & Anna were 1st generation. They opened the store at 7th & Morton in Chester sometime in the late 1920’s and moved to the current location in the 1930s

We would like to thank all of the employees and vendors over the years

Most importantly we would like to thank all of our customers past & present we wish you nothing but peace and Love ❤️

To reach Sutton Avenue in Ridley, you can take the SEPTA bus number 37 or the regional rail line to Eddystone station. From there, you can walk towards Sutton Avenue which is approximately a 15-minute walk away.

If you prefer to drive there and park, follow I-95 South until exit 6 for Stewart Avenue. Turn right onto Stewart Ave and then make another right onto Morton Avenue. From there, continue straight onto Sutton Avenue and look for available parking spots nearby.
