🥐🥐Four days of work to make each of these🥐🥐
1) Start pre-ferments: they ferment overnight for ~15 hours
2) Mix and ferment: about 3 hours at room temperature, then into the fridge for 24 hours
3) Laminate & shape: then back into the fridge for another ~18 hours
4) Bake Day! Final proof for ~3 hours at 85-90 degrees then into the oven.

✨FREE PUBLIC CUPPING✨
On Friday, January 17, we will be hosting a Free Public Cupping at 11am at our new Lombard St location! Cupping is the industry-wide standard for tasting and evaluating coffees. It is the standard because it is the quickest, easiest, and most consistent way to brew lots of coffees to an even, high extraction. It is simply faster, easier, and more consistent than trying to dial in five+ different pourovers.
This cupping is open to everyone, and no need to RSVP - just show up! We’d like to extend a special invitation to anyone who has never been to a cupping before. We would LOVE to walk you through the whole process and help you learn a bit about coffee.

Looking for a natural that is just fruit, fruit, fruit? You’ve found it! This old-world Bourbon variety lot from the famed Huehuetenango region boasts all the sweet, ripe flavors you’d expect: strawberry, raspberry, and grape, with a jam-like sweetness, plus a little hint of wine or whiskey. As is the case with most naturals, we dig it as a pourover and also as espresso - enjoy!

Nogales: ooh baby, this is a good one! It reminds us of some of those Edwin Noreña coffees that taste like hops & beer🍻, except this one leans a little more towards rose-like florals🌹 than the more herbaceous hops. Qabballe: back for the fourth consecutive year! The cold climate in the high-altitude Teraga Village in Uraga, Guji contributes to its delicious flavor profile of blueberry, grape, passion fruit, and flowers. As the sun has set on 2024, we’d like to say thank you to everyone - staff, customers, vendors, friends, and family - who played a part this year in making Vibrant what it is today. We strive to simply do the right thing in all aspects of our business - put out quality coffee & baked goods, provide great customer service, pay fair prices to farmers, pay fair wages & benefits to staff, and simply be a business that makes the world a better place. Our resolution for 2025 is to just keep doing that the best we can.
On a slightly unrelated note, all of our seating at Lombard has finally arrived! We now have ~18-20 seats depending on how cozy you get on the benches. Lombard will be open 8-2:30 tomorrow. Rittenhouse will be open 7-4 as usual.

🍑🥂Sidama Buncho Honey🥂🍑
A honey-processed Ethiopia - this is quite rare! Daye Bensa has been producing stellar coffee since 1996 and their years of expertise show in this coffee. 12-15 days of drying in mucilage gives this coffee a bit more sweetness and body than is found in a washed Ethiopian: we taste peach mimosa, strawberry, white grape, rosé champagne, and flowers. It’s fabulous no matter which brew method is your go-to, including espresso!

🍇Uganda Sironko Station Pure Natural🍇
We are thrilled to present our latest Ugandan offering from Ibrahim Kiganda and .harvest - the leaders in Ugandan specialty coffee. Uganda has long been regarded as having some of the best potential in the world to produce specialty coffee, but has had consistency issues over the years. Ibrahim and Mountain Harvest have changed that, using years of data and rigorous protocols. The proof is in the pudding: this lot boasts big time purple fruit notes like Concord grape and blueberry, plus more berry notes like raspberry and strawberry, with a deep red wine-like character.🍓🍷
We have a very limited number of bags available at each cafe, and we will roast & ship online orders tomorrow. Orders must be placed by 8am tomorrow, otherwise they will NOT roast & ship until Tuesday 1/1.
