Folks from South Philly love tradition. Change is hard for most to accept even, if it's a good idea. The question remains whether this is a good idea. Would you buy or eat it or just wait until spring. No cup, no spoon, no mess, no fuss . John's Water Ice now comes freeze-dried.

What people say
John's Water Ice is a dessert shop and restaurant that has been serving delicious water ice for over 75 years. The secret family recipe used by the 3rd generation owner, Anthony Cardullo, sets John's Water Ice apart from other dessert shops in Philadelphia. What makes their water ice unique is the use of fresh fruit personally selected and squeezed by hand, filtered water, and sugar without any preservatives or additives. This commitment to using only the best ingredients results in a refreshing and flavorful treat that keeps customers coming back for more. John's Water Ice has multiple locations throughout Philadelphia, including a pop-up inside Potito's bakery on Ritner Street until mid-July. They also offer catering services for special events during the summer season. With their dedication to quality and tradition, it's no wonder why John's Water Ice has become a beloved institution in Philadelphia.
