Mazzoni Center is the largest health and wellness center serving the Philadelphia LGBTQ+ community, offering primary medical care, HIV and STI testing and prevention, affirming care, behavioral health services, youth services, and even a food bank — all under one roof, for anyone who needs it. We’re excited to welcome Chef Andrew Gush to the Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City and The Wayward teams as our new Director of Food, Beverage & Culinary Operations.
With over 18 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, Chef Andrew brings a dynamic background in high-volume kitchens, team development, and innovative dining concepts. Prior to joining us, he held leadership roles with Fearless Restaurants, and has also sharpened his craft working with the renowned Starr and Garces restaurant groups. A graduate of The Art Institutes, Andrew has built his career on a passion for bold flavors, thoughtful sourcing, and creating unforgettable moments through food.
Before his culinary career, Andrew proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps, completing two combat tours in Iraq—an experience that continues to shape his leadership, discipline, and team-first approach in the kitchen.
Chef Andrew will be leading the charge across all culinary, beverage, banquet, and kitchen operations—and we can’t wait for you to experience what’s ahead.
