Mission Taqueria is proud to introduce our new Executive Chef: Alejandro MartΓn SΓ‘nchez. π
Ale joined the Mission fam right after the new year, and in just a few months has majorly leveled things up in our kitchen.
How would he describe his approach to Mexican cuisine? βNi de aquΓ, ni de allΓ‘.β Neither here, nor there. As a border kid from Brownsville, TX / Tamaulipas, MEX, Chef Alejandro himself is a mix of Mexican and American cultures that ultimately shaped his culinary style.
Having worked under Michelin ranked chefs in Texas, Ale arrived in Philly as part of the opening team at LMNO. Now at Mission, heβs excited to show Philly his particular interpretation of modern Mexican cuisine.
βI make food that makes grandmas upset.β Ale alway makes this joke because his food is far from traditional, but neither is Mission, and we love that about him. π

Our beloved cover girl (aka Dito Van Riegersberg) has been diagnosed with leukemia and is looking for a donor match! is hosting an event TONIGHT 12.21 from 5-8. Come through, take a swab, take a shot and support one of Philly's true queens. π
β’
Love this pic of Martha that graced our calendar last year. Just one of the many many MANY contributions Dito makes to our arts community.
β’
Show the love and come through for a shot and a swab. You have to be 18-40 to be eligible to match, for Dito or potentially someone else in need! There will be live music from some of Martha's cocreatorrs over the years, and there is NO COVER. Hope to see y'all there. β¨
