Hey Familia! ✨Next week we’ll be taking Tuesday morning off to celebrate with our resident Chingonita/GM who’ll be graduating from Kindergarten! Time flies, amirite? We’ll be back for dinner though, so we’ll see you all after 3pm!
The following week we’ll be closed Tuesday & Wednesday and back on Thursday 6/20! We know, that’s a lot of information, don’t worry we’ll remind you again next week 😊

Happy Monday, familia! The crew had such a busy past week and topped it off with an insane Cinco de Mayo so, we’ll be taking an extra day off to rest. We hope to see you all when we’re back on Wednesday!

Last night we had a great time at an amazing event for an honorable cause and we met so many talented people within our industry. We’ve worked so many of these events back home in NYC while working for other people, but it felt REALLY GOOD to represent our OWN restaurant and to be recognized for the delicious food we make. We know that we make amazing tacos and “street food” but we are capable of so much more 😉 Coming to Philly 5 years ago, not knowing a single person here, felt really isolating. Now look at us! We started from the bottom now we here baby!
Thanks again for reaching out to us and inviting us to participate. The work your foundation does for those in our community is admirable. We truly respect all that you do!

Today is our birthday!! We made it guys! Happy 2 Years to us!!! 🎉
To think we’d be here after hustling in a tiny food cart in the midst of a pandemic is absolutely insane. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our OG team (Dina, Jenny, Yuli - we love and appreciate you so much for riding out the craziness for TWO WHOLE YEARS! ❤️) our new crew that we adore, and of course we’d be nowhere without our wonderful guests.
So many of you all have become familia! We see your faces every week, we know your names and orders by heart! We love you guys. Thank you for being awesome and supporting us through this journey. As 2 new kids on the block, Omar and I were so nervous about jumping into the culinary scene in a new city. Omar is way more confident though lol and he kept pushing me to be the best version of me. Without my Chingon, there would be no Chingonita ❤️
Cheers 🥂 to 2 years and many more to come. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us! 🌮

This week La Chingonita turns 2 years old!! Can you believe it?
Our Anniversary is May 3rd and what better way to celebrate than to participate in this year’s Garces Foundation Annual Benefit Gala. We are so honored to be among the very talented chefs and restaurants in the city that are participating this year!! Check out for more information on this wonderful event. We hope to see you there!

To get to E Girard Avenue in Philadelphia, you could take the SEPTA subway to the Girard Station and walk a few blocks east. If you prefer driving, there is street parking available along E Girard Avenue and surrounding streets. Additionally, there are several paid parking lots in the area.
