We're in great company on Eater Philly's list of the Hottest New Restaurants, November 2021 edition
"Owned by the folks behind Jet Wine Bar, and with Alexis Tellez as executive chef, Sor Ynez offers fresh Mexican cuisine with a focus on sustainability. Try the βalt pastor,β a spit-roasted cauliflower alternative to al pastor that can be ordered on a taco, burrito, or torta, or root vegetable ceviche. Plus: vegan churros with oat milk champurrado are a great after-dinner treat."

Have you seen 's π¨π΄ newest installation "Contrafuerte" πͺπ
It is important to note that not one piece of this art installation was wasted. The metal fencing of our outdoor dining space utilizes the remains of the metal sheets used to create the sculpture's unique contours. Not only do we strive to be sustainable but it also gives our space a unique aesthetic!

We're incredibly proud of what we have created here at Sor Ynez. With GM Dana Mello and Executive Chef Alex Tellez at the helm, we are pushing the boundaries of what Mexican food can be in Philadelphia. From our amped up interior design, and mezcal-forward back bar, we are thankful for Mr LaBan stopping by to unwrap his "vegan treasure."
The migration of Mexican immigrants to South Philadelphia has brought an ever-growing repertoire of taco thrills, tamales and Capulhuac-style barbacoa.
