A team oriented attitude
Strong work ethic
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Demonstrate an eagerness to learn
Qualifications:
Serving experience preferred, not required
Experience in a Customer Service related field
We are looking to hire for full-time, five shift per week positions.
As a member of our team you will receive a free meal of your choice during your shift (no staff meals), discounts throughout the Reading Terminal Market, and all tips are paid daily.

We are a fast paced diner located inside the Reading Terminal Market for the last 34 years. We are looking to add someone who can prep and learn how to work the line positions in our kitchen.
Even though we are a diner we make everything from scratch, from our biscuits and bread, to the jams and sauces. This will allow someone who is passionate about cooking to experience many different recipes in a high volume kitchen.
We are open seven days a week from 8:00am to 6:00pm meaning no late nights. If this sounds like your kind of place, please reach out to us!

Two years prep or kitchen experience
Serve Safe Certification
Familiarity with Health Department regulations

The Down Home Diner is lucky to be situated in the Reading Terminal Market for 34 years, one of the most visited destinations in Philadelphia. We are looking to add a friendly server to our team, who preferably has experience in a fast paced environment.
Our serving team is a wonderful group of highly experienced folks, with many years of service at the Diner. We are hoping to find someone who wants to be part of an awesome team, someone who can handle over 100 covers a shift.
