Rising to fame with his 1994 debut Texas Sugar/Strat Magik, he earned “Best New Talent” in Guitar Player’s poll and placed among top blues guitarists alongside Eric Clapton and B.B. King. A relentless live performer and recording artist with over 15 albums, Duarte is celebrated for his improvisational skill and high-energy shows."
This wiki gives the cold stats, but does not convey the raw fire of a Chris Duarte performance. The man is driven by some powerful inner force that impels him soar to the very edge like Icarus.

This Sunday's Blues Brunch & Jam is birthing a new mashup of old friends! Roger Girke, Philadelphia Slim, Jamey Reilly and Joe Biase warmly welcome you to the first light of Jamey's Blues Union - devoted to the lesser known gems from the classic blues canon.
Doors open at noon when the fellas hit, and the blues open mic drops from 1-3pm. Scrumptious all day breakfast made hot for you by Chef Suyun, and terrific drinks by Greg at our Conshie Brewing bar all served up by our young superstars Jonathan and Erin. Over the course of his career, singer/songwriter and Americana artist Tom Freund has released more than a dozen records, collaborated with legends such as Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne, pulled a half-decade stint on bass for alt-country pioneers The Silos, and has shared bills with everyone from Matthew Sweet to Guided by Voices.
That's just the fluff. Behind those accomplishments is a singular man. Articulate. Measured. Deeply insightful. And a heck of a talented artist. We are so happy to see Tom return to our stage for an intimate evening of musical dialogue.

Quentin Jones is one of the coolest guys I know. This hall of fame guitarist lives life to the max and gives every ounce in the process. He's fun as hell, and while he's one to take very seriously, he always has his tongue firmly in cheek. Quentin trades licks with the biggest names in the biz and spends much of his life on the road with his trusty Gretsch guitars slinging blues, rock and just about everything else.
The Quentin Jones Rock and Roll Review is his own outfit, and they will be at Jamey's this weekend to show you how it's done. Put a star on your dance card for Saturday at 8pm and bring your crew for a way special time.
