This week on the corner!

Just a quick note to update you on some delicious specials available this week at the Clam and Broadway. Please ask your server or bartenders for details on other ongoing specials, like AYCE mussels and the Dungeness crab dinner at the Broadway and buck-a-shuck oysters at both restaurants.

Appetizer Special:
Cajun Crab Cake Egg Rolls... These are golden-fried egg rolls stuffed with seasoned lump crab cake filling, served with a Cajun remoulade sauce.

Dinner Special:
Blackened Tuna with Crab & Roasted Corn Parmesan Orzo... We just brought in some incredible yellowfin tuna. The chef will blacken it and serve the tuna over creamy Parmesan orzo tossed with sweet lump crab meat, roasted corn, and scallions.

We took the day off yesterday. Hope you enjoyed your (rainy) holiday weekend. And now, it's time for another edition of...

*** THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER ***

-- We have some new specials at both restaurants. Asparagus is very much in season, so for an appetizer, we're doing crispy fried asparagus served with a zesty housemade lemon aioli for dipping. And as an entree, it's blackened shrimp with some amazing ricotta cheese gnocchi, served in a creamy vodka blush sauce and finished with fresh herbs and Parmesan. Mmm, mmm, good.

-- Father's Day is coming up, and our new Clam Tavern Clamtastic mugs make for an excellent gift for that Clam Tavern fan in your life. They are $10 at the restaurants. We've had people buy these to keep for their morning coffee and others to stick a houseplant in. Love it!

-- Speaking of Father's Day, make your reservations now! (Dad probably has enough socks at this point!)

-- Buck-a-shuck oysters continue at both restaurants during happy hour (other than Friday through Sunday), and the Broadway is continuing with it's popular AYCE mussels on Tuesday nights as well as the Dungeness crab dinner special. Ask your server or bartender for details on those.

It's Monday so you know what that means, right?! It's time for another edition of...

*** THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER ***

>> Yes, the Clam Tavern mugs are finally here, as you can see our lovely model displaying in these photos. The Clamtastic logo on one side and The Original Clam Tavern on the other. The mugs cost $10 each. Makes a great Father's Day gift for that special Clam Tavern fan in your life, or just a nice addition to the mug shelf in your kitchen.

>> For an appetizer special this week, the chef has created a Crab Puff Pastry, which is buttery puff pastry filled with creamy crab stuffing and finished in a garlic-herb Parmesan cream sauce. And for an entree special, we're doing Marry-Me Salmon and Shrimp. The kitchen pan sears beautiful salmon and shrimp in a creamy garlic-Parmesan sun-dried tomato sauce and finishes the dish with spinach and fresh basil. These specials are available all week at both restaurants.

>> At the Broadway, we're continuing our Dungeness crab special as well as the Tuesdays-only all-you-can-eat mussels special. Ask your server or bartender for more details on those. And we're still doing buck-a-shuck oysters at both restaurants during happy hour, but not Friday through Sunday.

>> One special note: We will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. Have a safe and Clamtastic holiday weekend.

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER!

> At both restaurants, we have an appetizer special this week: Cajun Crab Potato Wedges. These are delicious. Crispy fried potato wedges topped with lump crab meat and finished in a rich Cajun Alfredo sauce. Mmmmm. And for an entree, we have Littleneck Clams & Sausage Pasta: Fresh littleneck clams, Italian sausage, and spinach tossed over pasta in your choice of garlic white wine sauce or classic marinara.

> Someone asked the other day if we are still doing the buck-a-shuck oysters at happy hour. Indeed we are! Just remember that this special doesn't run Friday through Sunday. We have these at both restaurants.

> At the Broadway, we're also still doing the Dungeness crab special every day and all-you-can-eat mussels on Tuesday night. People have been loving these specials.

It's Monday, so you know what that means...

*** THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER ***

It's a big week. We've got all sorts of playoff games. We've got Mother's Day. We've got Cinco de Mayo. Here's what's happening on the corner.

> We have some dinner specials that are happening at the Clam Tavern only. For an appetizer, we're doing Parmesan Cod Bites. These are crispy, golden-fried pieces of cod with a savory Parmesan crust, served with a bright lemon aioli. And for a dinner entree, it's all about the Pistachio Crusted Salmon. We're oven-roasting your salmon to perfection with a crunchy pistachio crust and finishing it with a rich, creamy Dijon sauce. Good stuff!

> Tuesday is Cinco de Mayo, and so we're celebrating at the Broadway ALL WEEK with Mexican shrimp cocktail (pictured) and a bunch of other excellent food and drink specials like Mexican pizza, crab guacamole, prime rib nachos, jalapeño mango margaritas, and strawberry margaritas. Come on out and have some fun with us.

> Also at the Broadway, we're continuing our daily Dungeness crab special and then the very popular Tuesday night all-you-can-eat mussels special. Ask your server for details, and be sure to ask your bartender for any beer specials during the playoff games. (Reminder that we are closed at the Broadway on Mondays. Go, teams!)

> Buck-a-shuck oysters continue at both restaurants during happy hour -- except Friday through Sunday. The oysters are really beautiful this time of year. We also have a limited number of soft-shell crabs, which just came in, so come and get them while you still can. These are available at both restaurants.

> Last but CERTAINLY not least, Mothers's Day is, of course, on Sunday. We do have some openings, but you should call sooner than later to make a reservation. We open at 2pm at both restaurants on Mother's Day, and our last seating will be at 8pm. Remember that we do not take online reservations, including over DM, so please call.

It's Monday, so you know what that means, right?!

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

> For an appetizer special at both restaurants, we've got sausage and shrimp stuffed mushrooms baked in a garlic butter sauce. These are SO good. But not to be outdone, we also have a delicious dinner special: Cajun shrimp and crab Alfredo. This is Cajun-spiced shrimp in a creamy crab Alfredo sauce, served over pasta.

> People are loving the Dungeness crab dinner at the Broadway, available daily. It's $30 for the platter, which comes with two sides or a side of pasta, and you can add an additional cluster for $8. Also at the Broadway, don't forget about our all-you-can-eat mussels on Tuesday nights.

> Buck-a-shuck oysters continue at both restaurants during happy hour -- other than Friday-Sunday. The oysters are really beautiful this time of year.

> Do NOT sleep on making reservations for the Clam or Broadway for Mother's Day! Availability is going quickly. We don't do online reservations, so please call. We open at 2pm and the last seating is at 8pm.

> Speaking of special days, next Tuesday, May 5th, is Cinco de Mayo. So we're going to have some extra fun at the Broadway. We'll have Mexican pizza, Mexican shrimp cocktail, crab guacamole, prime rib nachos, and, for celebratory libations, our fabulous bartender will be concocting jalapeño mango margaritas and strawberry margaritas. Make it a party!

> If you stop by for a playoff game at the Broadway (reminder that we are closed on Mondays), ask the bartender about beer specials! Go teams!

*** THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER ***

> Well, it looks like a big week for our sports fans. At the Broadway, we'll be doing $3 Michelob Ultra bottles and happy hour-priced appetizers during all Sixers and Flyers playoff games. Plus, merchandise giveaways. Go, teams!

> We love getting feedback from you, and one of our customers asked us to do Crab Arancini. What a great idea! So this week, we'll have that as an appetizer special at both restaurants. These are crispy risotto balls stuffed with lump crab and cheese, finished with a blush Alfredo cream sauce. Mmm.

> Dinner special all week at both restaurants: Hot Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon. The kitchen will pan sear a beautiful piece of salmon and finish it with a sticky hot honey garlic glaze. And because this is peak asparagus season, we're serving the salmon over sautéed asparagus and mushrooms.

> Mother's Day is coming up real soon: Sunday, May 10th! And our book is really starting to fill up at both restaurants. We will open the Broadway and the Clam at 2pm that day and the last seating will be at 8pm. Call and make your reservations ASAP. We do not accept reservations online.

> Our all-you-can-eat mussels (Tuesdays at the Broadway) and buck-a-shuck oysters (happy hour at both restaurants but not on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) continue.

Don't worry: It's not actually Mother's Day yet. (That's on May 10th. Pro-tip: don't wait until that morning to buy a card.)

But it is most definitely time for you to make reservations at the Clam or Broadway for that special someone for Mother's Day. We always get 100% booked in advance, so don't wait. You can call the restaurants and leave a voicemail or call when we are open. We do not accept online reservations.

We will open both restaurants early on Mother's Day, starting at 2pm. The full Clam menu will also be available at the Broadway. And the last seating will be at 8pm.

It's your weekly dose of...

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

> Customers have been loving these weekly specials that we've been rolling out, so we're going to keep that going. This week, for an appetizer, we have blacked salmon bites that are seared for a bold crust and tender center. They are served over crisp Asian slaw and finished with a creamy sweet-heat bang bang sauce. For dinner? Grilled swordfish paired with pillowy ricotta gnocchi in a pesto cream, finished with peppery arugula and topped with Balsamic marinated tomatoes. Both restaurants. Keep the feedback coming!

> Are we still doing buck-a-shuck oysters at happy hour at both restaurants? Yes we are. Monday through Thursday at the Clam and Tuesday through Thursday at the Broadway, since the Broadway is closed on Mondays.

> And returning by popular demand: all-you-can-eat mussels on Tuesday nights at the Broadway. $19. Comes with pasta and a salad. The only thing you have to decide is whether you want your mussels red or white. Oh, and what to drink with it. Our staff will be happy to make a suggestion.

It’s Monday, so….

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

Thanks for all of the amazing feedback. We have been using it to come up with new specials. The corner wouldn’t be the corner without YOU!

Speaking of specials… these are for both restaurants.

> Crispy Hot Honey Shrimp. These are lightly fried shrimp glazed in a sweet and spicy hot honey, over chilled shredded iceberg with scallions and sesame seeds.

> Parmesan Encrusted Cod. This is flaky cod with a golden parmesan crust, served with a bright lemon herb butter sauce.

And don’t worry: the AYCE mussels (Tuesdays at Broadway) and buck-a-shuck oysters (both spots, happy hour except for weekends) continue.

It’s Monday! So you know what that means…

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER…

> Our appetizer special this week (both restaurants) is 100% perfect for the season. Crispy Parmesan Asparagus. We take fresh asparagus spears, lightly bread them and then finish them with grated Parmesan cheese. Served with a light and delicious lemon garlic aioli.

> For a dinner special (also at both restaurants), we have Blackened Bourbon Shrimp. That is Cajun-spiced shrimp served hot and in a smooth bourbon glaze over garlic lemon orzo. Mmmm.

> Our Clamtastic loyal customers have asked us to keep the buck-a-shuck oysters and AYCE mussels (the mussels are only at the Broadway) on Tuesday nights going. And so we shall!

> Reminder that both restaurants are closed on Easter Sunday. Enjoy!

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

>> Folks have been asking if we will open on Easter. We will not. We wish a Clamtastic holiday to our friends and employees who celebrate.

>> For an appetizer this week on the corner, we're marinating shrimp in ginger, garlic and soy sauce and then wrapping them in an egg roll wrapper. Then, we fry until golden and serve with a sweet Thai chili sauce.

>> The entree special? Grilled swordfish with roasted grape tomatoes and asparagus. We finish that in a lemon caper sauce. I know we're biased, but it's delicious!

>> We're continuing our popular Broadway special of all-you-can-eat mussels. You choose red or white. You get pasta and a salad. All this for just $19. Come and get 'em! Tuesday night only at the Broadway.

>> Also continuing... buck-a-shuck oysters during happy hour at the Broadway from Tuesday through Thursday and the Clam Monday through Thursday. We've got some beautiful oysters right now.

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

>> The appetizer special for this week at both restaurants is: Spinach-and-crab dip with tortilla chips. Perfect way to start off a meal, along with some baked clams and oysters Rockefeller, of course.

>> And for an entree special (also at both restaurants), the chef is going to make you blackened salmon and shrimp in a tomato basil sauce. A little spice is nice!

>> Our AYCE mussels were a big hit, so let's do it again this week. You can get them red or white for $19. And they come with pasta and a salad. Tuesday night only and only at the Broadway.

>> People keep asking if we're still doing buck-a-shuck oysters for happy hour, and the answer is yes... for now! You can order them at both restaurants, Monday through Thursday at the Clam from 4-6pm and Tuesday through Thursday at the Broadway from 3-6pm.

>> Oh, and did you know that the Broadway has amazing churros! It's true. Our chef loves eating churros, and it shows when you try his. You can even do dinner at the Clam and dessert at the Broadway, as one regular did last week. Pro move!

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

>> People loved the all-you-can-eat crabs at the Broadway and asked us to do something similar now that the crabs have ended for now. So starting this week, only at the Broadway, we’ve got all-you-can-eat mussels on Tuesdays for $19. Red or white. Comes with pasta and a salad. Gonna be great!

>> Special appetizer of the week: We wanted something that felt right for this gorgeous weather. So it’s roasted asparagus topped with lump crab and Asiago cheese, finished with a garlic-lemon cream sauce. Both restaurants.

>> Special entree of the week: Littleneck clams with sausage and spinach, served over pasta. Red or white. Both restaurants.

>> Is it the end of buck-a-shuck oysters? No it is not. This has been so darn popular that we decided to let it roll. Only at happy hour through Thursdays. Both restaurants.

>> Just had a pizza at the Broadway over the weekend. Mmmm. The kitchen is really doing a spectacular job with these. Come enjoy one or two or five.

It's Monday, and you know what that means, right? A new edition of...

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER!

> Tuesday is the last day of all-you-can-eat Dungeness crabs at the Broadway, so come and get 'em! They are $40. People have been telling us it's the best deal in Delco. We'll be back next week with a new AYCE menu item.

> Buck-a-shuck oysters continue at both restaurants during happy hour, 4-6pm at the Clam Monday through Thursday and 3-6pm at the Broadway Tuesday through Thursday. (The Broadway is closed on Mondays.)

> For dinner specials this week, here's what we have at both restaurants. For an appetizer, it's Bang Bang Blackened Salmon Bites. These are delicious chunks of blackened salmon that are then tossed in a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce over crunchy Asian slaw. (The slaw is really killer!). And on the entree list, sautéed shrimp over cheese ravioli sounds really good. But what sounds even better is if we finish it in a rich garlic crab cream sauce. Yum.

> We see a lot of folks posting in different groups asking for places to host anniversary parties, baby showers, etc., and we are really pros at this. So if you have a special occasion and want us to help you make it a perfect celebration, just give us a call. We will make it Clamtastic.

'Tis a snowy day on the corner, and we are closed, but both restaurants will be open on Tuesday.

Here's what's happening on the corner this week...

> It's buck-a-shuck oysters at both restaurants during happy hours through Thursday. Hard to find buck-a-shuck nights these days, so we wanted to bring it back.

> Special Appetizer This Week: We are definitely dreaming about the idea of fried shrimp-and-crab stuffed shells. You might be asking yourself what that is. Well, we stuff jumbo pasta shells with a creamy blend of lump crab, shrimp, ricotta, parmesan, and fresh herbs. Then we lightly bread the stuffed shells and fry them until golden and crispy. There's a garlic cream sauce on the side for dipping. Mmmmmm.

> Special Entrée This Week: Bourbon BBQ shrimp over cheese orzo. That's tender sautéed shrimp glazed in a smoky-sweet and hot bourbon barbecue sauce, served up on creamy cheese orzo. The dish is finished with crispy crumbled bacon and fresh scallions for the perfect balance of rich, savory, and sweet.

> All-you-can-eat Dungeness crab nights return to the Broadway on Tuesday. Those are $40, and they are really beautiful crabs. Broadway only.

> Prime rib: $25 queen cut / $35 king cut.

> Oh, and have you tried our mango martinis? Come get one!

It's Monday, so you know what that means... Another edition of our new weekly newsletter.

THIS WEEK ON THE CORNER

> Thanks to all of you who joined us for Valentine's Day at the Clam and Broadway. It was Clamtastic to see all the smiling faces.

> We are continuing our hugely popular buck-a-shuck happy hour at both restaurants as well as Tuesday night all-you-can-eat Dungeness crabs at the Broadway. (Only at the Broadway for the AYCE crabs!) Those crabs are $40, and we'll have plenty of fresh ones in on Tuesday. So come and get 'em.

> Each week, our chefs have been putting their heads together to come up with some weekly specials. This week, for an appetizer, we've got shrimp oreganata -- jumbo shrimp topped with seasoned garlic breadcrumbs, white wine, freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh oregano and parsley, all baked until golden. And for an entree, it's lemon caper salmon. This is a beautiful piece of Atlantic salmon that we pan sear and serve with creamy lemon caper orzo and sautéed garlic spinach. Mmm, mmm good.

> As always, we accept reservations by phone. We don't do Resy or OpenTable. We're old school. You can leave a message or wait until we're open and make a reservation then. Sometimes people walk in on a Tuesday or Wednesday night thinking there will be plenty of room, but there often isn't. Always best to give us a call so we can be sure to take care of you.
