The Front Street Cafe family is grieving the loss of our Executive Chef, Andrew Petruzelli, who passed away on Thursday, March 19th after a three year battle with cancer.
Andrew was part of Front Street Cafe from day one. He helped build this place into what it is today, shaping the menu, mentoring the team, and creating the foundation of our kitchen.
He led with confidence, but more importantly, with kindness, fairness, and integrity.
Andrew wasn’t just part of this team, he was family. And the way he showed up every day, he made everyone around him feel like family too. Whether you worked beside him in the kitchen or were walking through the door for the first time, you felt it. You felt his presence, his care, and his respect for people.
Through the hardest years, especially during the pandemic, Andrew showed up and carried us forward. When everything felt uncertain, he was steady. When things got tough, he leaned in.
Even while facing his own battle with cancer, Andrew continued to show up with quiet strength and grace. He never lost his kindness. He never stopped being there for his team.
Andrew wasn’t just an incredible chef, he was a truly great human being, and he left a lasting mark on all of us.
We are heartbroken, and we are deeply grateful to have shared this journey with him.
Our love is with his family, and we will continue to honor him in everything we do.
Rest easy, Andrew.
