Kensington Community Food Co-op - KCFC The Kensington Community Food Co-op (KCFC) was a member-owned establishment encompassing a grocery store, café, and bar that served the communities of Kensington, Fishtown, Port Richmond, and surrounding areas. Dedicated to fostering neighborhood growth and engagement, the co-op featured approximately 2,000 square feet of full-service grocery items including produce, bulk grains, dairy products, beauty and health items, meats and meat alternatives, as well as frozen goods. The café offered all-day coffee service and prepared foods with dining options available both indoors and on an enclosed patio. KCFC also provided a selection of beer and wine for consumption on-site or for takeout. As a cooperative business model, KCFC allowed community members to have a significant stake in the operation and offerings of the co-op while welcoming non-members to access quality local food and home goods. Additionally, KCFC was equipped with a 16-car parking lot and convenient accessibility via public transportation.
