I was invited to a Kwanzaa celebrations on Ujima, the 3rd day and principle of “Collective Work & Responsibility.” This has been the nature of our friendship & love through the 3 generations we’ve known the hosting family! Gathering with our now young adult children (plus all the new babies, children & elders) is powerfully wonderful. Encouraging and guiding them through words, but more importantly action! There is no community, without the actual practice of communing (sorry, not sorry internet 🤷🏽♀️)! I brought Sangria to the feast and am now sharing my secret recipe. “Tell no one🤫🤣🥳!”
How ever your people gather, gather to remember our shared humanity. “We still have time to save the world!”❤️💚🖤

If it’s Wednesday, it’s Mother’s Day…
“On this day, a woman was lauded, used, abused & discarded.”
What a wonderful day❣️

If you guide your daughters, sisters, wives or self, through the lens of political discourse, they’re not FREE & neither are you.
Freedom always means you’re FREE to CHOOSE! If that’s an act of war, let the fight begin.

Time & my parents taught me how to “just keep going,” no matter what’s happening. The last 2 years reminded me, our children (with limited time in as adults) are new to surviving the game of life.
This is just gentle reminder to check in on your young folks…..even the ones who look grown, lol, 🤗🧡🥰🧡
