Important Update

Hi "Sweet" Friends,

As we ring in the new year, we will wind down operations for Sweet Freedom Bakery and close the doors of our Bryn Mawr location on Tuesday, Jan 5th. As one can imagine, the global pandemic and continued resulting strain on our industry have become increasingly challenging. This week we will be "baking you happy" Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and again on Tuesday 8am-2pm (Closed Friday for New Years Day), and would LOVE to serve you a few last cupcakes & cookies this week... we're still taking orders over the phone (610) 527-7323 and through email [email protected].

We are proud to have been pioneers in the world of allergy-free baking, and we all hold very special memories of baking for those who have truly needed us. We will miss the emails, notes, and calls of gratitude and especially being able to make a difference in your lives. Thank you all for choosing us, and trusting us to make your special occasions a success.

Planning for the holidays and SHIPPING

This holiday season we're preparing and staffing a little differently. Just like Thanksgiving, we will have a much smaller staff in the bakery for added safety and would LOVE to be able to plan and prepare with staggered pick-ups and pre-orders. Knowing this early can help you prepare and plan as well. We will of course have all the usual suspects we offer during the holidays and we will make some smaller versions of them as well. If you are in need of items that are shipped, please note that all shipping orders need to be in by Midnight on Sunday December 20th in order to ship on Monday or Tuesday.
*We strongly encourage tying to get your shipped items out the week before Christmas as this year EVERYONE is shopping online and our postal services are going to be stressed. If you can, we HIGHLY recommend that you get items you are gifting out next week. We will be prepared for you. Order online by Midnight Tuesday December 15th to get your gifts out ahead of the crazy rush we all anticipate.
If you plan to pick up in the store, please call us at (610) 527-7323 no later than 4pm on Sunday December 20th or email your orders to [email protected].

**The earlier the better as this is our busiest time of the year.

To reach the bakery on South Street in Philadelphia, you have a couple of options:

Public Transport:
1. Take the subway to the Lombard-South station. From there, head east on South Street for about 2 blocks until you reach the bakery.

Driving/Parking:
1. If you're coming from downtown Philadelphia, take Walnut Street heading west until you reach South Street. Turn right onto South Street and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the bakery.
2. If you're coming from outside of Philadelphia, take I-76 East towards downtown. Take exit 346B for South Street and merge onto South Street. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach the bakery.

Parking:
There are several parking options available near South Street:
- Look for street parking along South Street or nearby side streets. Be sure to check parking signs and meters for any restrictions.
