Weβd like the opportunity to address the photo rendering of what some envision Gambergs should look like, including the fact that the left side of the photo did not show Lochelβs Bakery or rather a building that isn't Lochel's Bakery. Weβve now been tagged in posts, messaged, and questioned.
First, we are not for sale, we are not closing, and we are not going anywhere. We were not aware of a new rendering and we did not approve any so-called βnew lookβ for our business. Looking at photo, Lochel's is gone and happily we're here!
Second, we have no control or input regarding what may happen within the Gambergs building, but rest assured if anything affects our building or business, it will be handled appropriately by proper people. We are not leaving.
Lastly, to those commenting that the town needs to update, modernize, or βlook betterβ β we are a well-maintained and up-to-date bakery. We do not want apartments above us, and we do not want the bakery to become so modernized that we lose the charm of being a true Mom-and-Pop bakery. We understand the need for updates and continue to do so while keeping our own charm. We can't tell others what to do or how to run their business but we feel we do our very best!
We are proud of what we are. We take care of what have, and we continue to improve our bakery in a financially responsible and sustainable way. We have updated our interior over the years, expanded and have a invested interest in the community. We will continue making improvements as needed always.
These types of βvisionsβ may work for those large-scale development, but our priority is maintaining a stable future for our family, our staff, and our community. The truth is, that βold-fashionedβ bakery brings people from all over.
Lochelβs Bakery is not going anywhere. If political cookie threats didnβt push us away, a rendering certainly wonβt either.
