What people say
Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is a must-visit for anyone who loves frozen treats. As the largest Italian Ice concept in the nation, it's no surprise that Rita's has over 600 shops across 31 states. What sets Rita's apart from other ice cream shops is their commitment to using fresh ingredients and making their Italian Ice daily. Their signature Misto and Blendini creations are also worth trying.
The story of how Rita's came to be is heartwarming and adds to the charm of the shop. Bob Tumolo, a former Philadelphia firefighter, started selling Italian Ice from a small porch window in Bensalem, PA with his mother Elizabeth. They created their own recipe using real fruit and named the business after Bob's wife, Rita. Today, Rita's continues to spread happiness everywhere it goes.
Whether you're in the mood for a classic Italian Ice or want to try something new like a Custard Cookie Sandwich or layered Gelati, Rita's has something for everyone. Plus, as a locally owned small business, you can feel good about supporting your community while enjoying delicious frozen treats. Don't miss out on this delightfully different treat experience at Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard on W Lincoln Highway in Penndel!
