Thank you for the kind words about Salvatoreās Counter ā itās been a dream of Chef .v.ferreriās to introduce this experience to Irwinās since the day we opened.
Salvatoreās Counter is a labor of love that only comes together because our team (with at the helm) rises to the occasion each week, making sure the restaurant runs smoothly while the Counter happens. It comes together because our purveyors (, , , .pa, , ) bring us such special ingredients to feature each week ā sometimes holding something special or growing native Sicilian produce just for us. And lastly, it comes together because our Wine Director, , and Bar Manager , create the most dynamic, fun, thoughtful beverage offerings to pair with each course.
We KNOW it can feel tricky to grab a spot for Salvatoreās Counter ā we really feel strongly that the small crew makes the experience that much more special š§”
If you havenāt gotten your moment at the Counter yet, please be patient! Set those alarms for 11 am on the first of each month, and know we canāt wait to host you.

What people say
Irwin's on South 9th Street in Philadelphia is a delightful modern Sicilian restaurant that truly captures the essence of Sicilian cuisine. Chef Michael V. Ferreri has created a cozy and inviting space at the top of the Bok Building, where guests can indulge in a culinary experience like no other.
One of the standout features of Irwin's is their innovative dishes that showcase the rich flavors and ingredients of Sicily. From the FLO-CACCIA with zucchini, whipped sheep's milk ricotta, and mortadella to the Agrodolce Chicken and Roasted Dorade, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.
The menu at Irwin's also pays homage to traditional Sicilian ingredients such as tomatoes, eggplant, pine nuts, and golden raisins. The Eggplant Caponata, inspired by Chef's Great Grandma's recipe, is a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to preserving Sicilian culinary heritage.
In addition to the delectable food offerings, Irwin's provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meal. Whether you choose to dine inside or on the patio, you are sure to feel right at home at this charming establishment.
Overall, Irwin's is a gem in Philadelphia's dining scene, offering a taste of Sicily right in the heart of the city. With its creative dishes, cozy ambiance, and dedication to quality ingredients, it is no wonder that this restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
