Hi all, we wanted to let you know that Lo**ta will be temporarily closed for a little while. We’re going to be using the space to host private events (if interested, please contact: [email protected]). As restrictions continue to be lifted for indoor gatherings, we’ve seen an increase in requests and while we are able to host in our existing private events space, Upstairs at Barbuzzo Restaurant, we felt adding an additional space would help us safely fulfill the inquiries we’ve been receiving – and our current staff will host private events with us and also help out at our three other restaurants. We’re excited to be part of your special moments again! We’ll keep you posted on Lo**ta updates here. Thank you & stay well! 💛

What people say
Mexican restaurants are known for their bold flavors, colorful dishes, and festive atmosphere. Lolita Restaurant on South 13th Street in Philadelphia embodies all of these qualities and more. This modern Mexican restaurant and bar is the brainchild of Chef Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran, who have created a menu that celebrates the vibrant cuisine of Mexico.
One standout dish at Lolita is their Veggie Nachos, which are crispy corn tortillas topped with kale, charred broccoli, avocado-tomatillo salsa, cumin black beans, queso mixto, salsa molcajete & crema. These nachos are a perfect example of how Lolita puts a creative twist on traditional Mexican dishes while still staying true to their roots.
In addition to the food, the atmosphere at Lolita is also worth mentioning. The restaurant's decor is stylish and chic with a touch of Mexican flair. The dim lighting and cozy seating make it an ideal spot for a romantic date night or a fun night out with friends.
While Lolita may be temporarily closed for private events at the moment, we can't wait to see what they have in store when they reopen. Whether you're in the mood for tacos, margaritas or just some good old-fashioned guacamole, Lolita Restaurant is definitely worth checking out.
