First post in a looonnnggggg time. Asiago bagel from Jones'N Bagels with kielbasa, two eggs, American and cheddar cheeses, and sriracha bacon.

Well this has been a unique week to say the least. It's the first time we've been featured in a social media post that we didn't make. Seeing all the new faces is very exciting. We always work very hard to bring you the best quality food we can. I know our regulars know that already because y'all keep coming back.

This week we are doing a little collaboration of our own (just paying it forward) with Jones'N Bagels of Hatboro. I've bought these for the crew as well as my family several times and they're really good.

Starting tomorrow we'll be using their asiago bagel and filling it with grilled kielbasa (also locally purchased ), Sriracha bacon, two fried eggs plus American and cheddar cheeses. Includes your choice of home fries, tomato slices or fresh cut fruit.

We will also be bringing back the Dagwood club. Some of you may remember the Blondie comic strip where her husband, Dagwood, would make jumbo sandwiches. This one will feature roasted turkey, Virginia ham, applewood smoked bacon, Swiss and American cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, yellow mustard and mayonnaise. Your choice of white, wheat or rye bread.

Soup is cheeseburger. Angus ground beef and onions sauteed as the base, then American and cheddar cheeses in the stock as well as ketchup, mustard and a couple other tricks. Garnished with a little lettuce and diced tomatoes.

Muffin will be orange and also topped with a fresh orange glaze.

Thank you for reading. Feel free to share on your own pages. We look forward to serving you soon.

It's that time again. Looks like a little bad weather rolling in for the holiday. We will be closed Monday for the holiday but we're open and working hard all the other days. Here's the new lineup that begins tomorrow.

1. Sweet corn soup. Another vegetarian soup with lots of fresh corn, herbs and a little milk to make it creamy.

2. Red, white and blue muffin. Strawberries, white chocolate chips and blueberries. Finished with a little whipped cream and rainbow jimmies.

3. Fruit and Yogurt bowl. Girls have been asking me to do this for awhile now. Whole milk Greek yogurt, strawberry, blueberry, banana, honey almond granola, wildflower honey.

4. Spicy Pulled Pork. Our slow roasted pork on a toasted brioche bun with mango/habanero bbq sauce, pepper jack cheese and house made onion rings. Add any of our sides for a few dollars more.

Have a safe and happy holiday. We look forward to serving you soon!

Time again for new specials. Feels like I've been busier than a 1 legged man in a butt kicking contest so I'll give you the highlights and as always you can get more into when you come in!

1. Cosmic Crisp Apple Crumb Muffin. Self explanatory.

2. Turnip and Potato Soup. In addition to aforementioned ingredients, it's a vegetable broth loaded with fresh herbs. Definitely a vegetarian soup, most likely vegan as well.

3. Chicken Sausage Omelet. Our three egg omelet filled with a garlic/asiago chicken sausage, diced onions and peppers, and finished with a little extra grated asiago.

4. Crabcake Grilled Cheese. Mostly self explanatory. Texas toast, American cheese, house made crabcake and cocktail sauce (served on the side). Includes bay fries.

It feels like we've been seeing a lot of new faces lately so a hello and hearty thank you to you if this applies. For our regulars, our eternal thanks as you have have helped us prosper in good times and bad. Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon.

Seems like today's post could be a little more wordy than some previous ones. Mother's Day is a holiday I'm pretty sure we can all get behind. No one out there protesting this one, am I right?

My mom is not in the best shape so she won't read this. She knows how much I love and respect her though. My wife will read this and hopefully know how thankful I am that she brought our daughters into this world. My three daughters will read this and should know how proud am I of them at the mother's, and perhaps more importantly human beings, that they've become. There are also plenty of new, newish mothers and soon to be mothers (if you think this one is about you, it probably is) that are beginning to make their marks on the world in a different way, which is a beautiful thing. I'll finish with a quick shout out to some more experienced mothers that I recently had the honor and pleasure of spending some quality vacation time with. Y'all know who you are and you all rock.

Let's talk about some food, shall we? I'll be briefer here, if possible! Some fancy and fun stuff for the moms, and anyone else who cares to give them a shot:

1. Funfetti Muffin. I mean, fun is in the name.

2. Shrimp Bisque. Creamy house made stock garnished with some diced U15 shrimp.

3. Mushroom, Spinach & Cheese Quiche. No crust on this one. Eggs, cream, gruyere cheese plus aforementioned vegetables baked to perfection. Choice of potatoes, tomato, or fruit.

4. Seafood Trio Salad. Mixed greens topped with tomato, red onion, green pepper, house made tuna salad, smoked whitefish salad and jumbo U15 shrimp.

I know this was a long one so thanks for reading. Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon.

Let's do some specials real quick and maybe enjoy that yellow thing up in the sky for a bit!

1. Sausage and Kale soup. This one closer to a stew as its filled with vegetables, sweet Italian sausage, fennel, potatoes and herbs. Great as a cup, almost a meal as a bowl.

2. Red velvet muffin. Some unique qualities to this one as it contains corn starch and buttermilk. It will be topped with house made strawberry icing.

3. Benny Rockefeller. A twist on a regular benedict, as we take a Thomas' English muffin and add our applewood smoked bacon, poached eggs, garlicky creamed spinach and herb toasted panko bread crumbs.

4. Buffalo chicken burger. No lies, I stole this right off an internet video I saw this week. If you're the originator and reading this, many thanks. Our Angus patty cooked to your degree of doneness topped with house made pulled Buffalo chicken, blue cheese crumbles and a final splash of Crystal hot sauce.

Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon.

Time to announce our weekly specials. We've got a solid mix of old and new. Without further ado:

We are bringin back the roasted red pepper and smoked gouda soup as well as the sour cream and chocolate chip muffin. Both of those are pretty straightforward and require no further explanation.

The new omelet deserves some extra words. We'll be sauteing grape tomatoes before add three fresh scrambled eggs into the pan. After we turn it into an omelet we'll stuff it with a blend of ricotta and parmesan cheeses which also contains freshly chopped basil. It will be garnished with a little more shaved parmesan cheese and fresh chives.

Our sandwich is also a new creation derserving of some extra attention. We're bringing in some LeBus multigrain bread to grill up for a ham and cheese sandwich. Our Virginia ham will be grilled and go on the bread with smoked gouda and American cheeses as well as a house made apple and fig jam. As always, plenty of side options for you to add on if you're so inclined.

Thank you for following and reading. Feel free to share on your own pages. We thank you for coming in and look forward to serving you soon.

Let's talk specials on this unseasonably warm day before I sneak in a little power nap. We're going Cajun, which we have not done in a good while.

We'll start you off with a nice chicken and smoked sausage gumbo. One size fits all this week as we put a cup of white rice in the center of a bowl and surround with a rich broth of the holy trinity (onions, celery & peppers), roasted chicken, sauteed smoked sausage and Cajun seasonings.

The muffin this week will be a cornbread muffin. It will be loaded with sweet corn, pickled jalapenos, cheddar cheese and honey.

For breakfast, we'll be serving one of our most popular dishes called Bananas Foster French Toast. Two pieces of Texas toast grilled to golden brown and topped with fresh banana as well as house made rum/brown sugar sauce and banana whipped cream.

Our sandwich will be a mashup of a Cajun chicken sandwich and po boy. We've got boneless thighs brining over night in buttermilk, Crystal hot sauce and herbs. We'll dredge in some Cajun seasoned flour before frying it up and tossing it in more Crystal hot. It will be served on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce, tomatoes, pickle slices and a house made remoulade.

Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon!

04/09/2026

Lots to still do today so I'll give you a quick rundown on the specials.

1. Four berry and streusel muffin.

2. Hearty vegetable soup.

3. Spam and herb omelet with cheddar cheese over pineapple fried rice with a house made teriyaki drizzle.

4. Angus burger with sriracha bacon, beer braised onions, and cabernet cheese.

More details available at the cafe. Have a great weekend and week.

Before we get to specials, a friendly reminder that we will be closed on Easter as is our custom. All the holidays are upon us and I'm sure many of you are busy getting ready. A brief lineup of some specials that will begin tomorrow:

1. Ham and Cheesy Chowder. Creamy broth filled with potatoes, cheddar cheese and lots of diced Virginia ham.

2. Lemon pudding, blueberry & poppy seed muffin. Lemon pudding in the muffin mix as well as fresh lemon juice, plenty of blueberries and a light sprinkling of poppy seeds.

3. Strawberry & Banana French Toast. Two pieces of of our grilled Texas toast topped with a house made strawberry compote, fresh cut banana and finished with a house made banana whipped cream.

4. Seafood Salad Croissant. A combination of shrimp, mussels and calamari tossed with onions and celery in a lemon and herb mayo. Served on a croissant with bib lettuce.

We wish you a Happy Easter and Happy Passover. As always, thank you so much for reading this and choosing us to feed you. It is always an honor. Have a great weekend and week.

03/26/2026

Hopefully many of you, much like me, are getting ready to watch opening day 2026. Ill do this fast today! We went in a lighter direction since it's also spring.

1. Roasted broccoli, zucchini and cheddar cheese omelet.

2. Grilled boneless chicken thigh on brioche with house made soy glaze, carrot slaw and grilled pineapple.

3. Carrot and ginger bisque.

4. Chunky monkey muffin (banana, chocolate chips and walnuts).

Here's hoping for win number 1 today. Enjoy the sunshine. We certainly have not had enough lately!

03/19/2026

Thursday seems to come around real quick and this week is no exception. Only a couple days until the first day of spring, so obviosuly we are doing a south of the border theme! We'll do a nice round of springy, Easter specials maybe next week. This week we have the following for you:

1. Caldo de Pollo: a kicked up chicken soup with all the usual suspects and some interestesting additions as well. This soup adds corn, lots of cilantro and chayote squash, which seems to be a cross between a pear and a squash. Delicious soup as always.

2. Dried Peach and Plum Muffin. Every once in a while when I shop I'll buy something and put it away for later. These dried fruits I picked up a little bit ago and have no preservatives or chemicals. We are plumping them back up in some milk and wil then use that milk to make the muffin tomorrow morning. I'll let you know about 7 AM how it works out.

3. Breakfast Burrito. We've done several incarnations of this one over the years. The latest will feature our whole wheat wrap filled with three scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, onions and peppers. Then we'll wrap it all up and top it with cheddar cheese and a nice ladle of our sausage gravy.

4. Fajita Chicken Cheesesteak. Boneless breast marinated in a house made fajita blend grilled up with onions and peppers on our flattop. Served on a hoagie roll with chipotle lime crema, pepper jack cheese and finished with enchilada sauce. Heat level on this one is a medium.

Have a great week and weekend. We look forward to serving you soon.

03/12/2026

Yesterday I'm in shorts and a t-shirt. Today I'm watching snow fall. My brain cannot make sense of it. What I do understand is the excitement of announcing new specials, even more so because they are for St Patrick's Day.

Our first entry has become a bit of a tradition. It goes by the name Irish Fry Up and this year it includes 2 eggs, ham, bacon, Irish sausage, house made breakfast beans and our home fries. We're throwing in toast too so you can mop up all that good flavor.

For the sandwich, we'll be serving a Corned Beef Grilled cheese. Thick cut, seeded rye grilled to golden brown and topped with house made corned beef, sweet braised cabbage, spicy brown mustard and plenty of Kerrygold Irish cheddar.

Soup is colcannon. A hearty soup loaded with cabbage, leeks and potatoes, as one might expect. For the muffin we'll be baking a soda bread muffin. It uses buttermilk instead of whole milk, and has plenty of raisins and caraway seeds.

Whether you enjoy the holiday or not, have a great weekend and week. Be safe out there. We look forward to serving you soon.

03/05/2026

Have some time here before dinner so let's get these new specials posted. Before I do, I want to mention you can now order turkey sausage with your All American or All American Junior breakfast. There is a small upcharge as turkey is a good bit more expensive than pork.

Without further ado, new specials beginning tomorrow at 7 AM:

1. Lemon Ricotta Muffin.

2. Loaded Baked Potato Soup.

3. Caprese Benedict: Thomas' English muffin, house made pistachio pesto, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs and balsamic glaze.

4. Chicken Italiano: boneless breast marinated in house made red wine vinaigrette then grilled on our flattop. Served on an Italian herb seasoned focaccia roll with lemon aioli, arugula and shaved parm.

We all just may survive this darn winter. Looks like warmer temps and nicer weather are in our near future. Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon.

02/26/2026

It's that time again already. The weeks are just flying by and there is yet another storm possibly on the way! You know how we love a theme and this week's theme is boozy! Alcohol infused dishes everywhere! In all seriousness though, any alcohol we use is cooked out so you are only getting the flavor benefits left behind.

Before I get to the specials, I'd like to say I hope you all enjoyed the turkey sausage. We went through quite a bit over the week so it will be sticking around on the menu. It can be ordered as a side or you can have it on a regular bullwich now as well.

First order of business is a special we've never done. We're calling it Drunken Pork Hash and it consists of our pulled pork grilled with onions, peppers and potatoes. We'll add a port wine and demiglace reduction on top then finish with two eggs how you like them. Includes your choice of home fries, tomato slices or fruit.

Secondly, we have a burger with some ingredients that we've never used in this way. It's our hand formed Angus beef patty grilled to your degree of doneness and served on a toasted brioche bun. It will be topped with a shish*to pepper jam (light and fruity) and a Cabernet Sauvignon cheese (dry and nutty). The fun thing I learned is the alcohol in the cheese evaporates during the aging process. Here you can also add any of our side dishes for a small up charge.

The muffin is getting in on the act as we make a hot butttered rum muffin with Bacardi Gold and butterscotch chips. No alcohol in the soup but it's a very tasty butternut squash soup with just a little cream to give it some body.

Thanks for reading. I am praying along with most of you for the end of this annoying winter! Have a great weekend and week. We look forward to serving you soon.

02/24/2026

Probably would have been smart of me to mention last night that we're open today! The lot is cleared and the roads seem to be in pretty good shape. Hope digging out wasn't too bad for you. Have a great week and we'll see you soon.

02/22/2026

Looks like the weather is going to win this round. We'll be closed tomorrow and hopefully back at it first thing Tuesday. Be safe everyone

02/19/2026

We have some fun stuff for you this week and also a new menu item that we're rolling out.

Every week we get a few requests for a side meat that is not pork based. I have finally given in and we are happy to announce we will be offering turkey sausage patties. They will be featured aa the special in the form of a biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and American cheese. You can get one or two, and each order includes your choice of home fries, fruit or tomato slices. They sausage will also be available as a side dish.

For the sandwich we're putting a spin on the classic American sandwich, peanut butter and jelly. It will start with two pieces of Texas Toast that are stuffed with Skippy Peanut Butter and Welch's grape jelly. The fun part is we're going to dip into a French toast-like batter and deep fry it until golden brown delicious. It will be topped with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar.

Sam has created another wonderful soup as we give a little nod to the beginning of Mardi Gras. Its a creamy Creole soup with crab, andouille sausage and sweet corn. The muffin will be a coffee cake muffin with lots of cinnamon, a crumble on top and of course powdered sugar.

This would be a perfect time to once again thank you for choosing us to prepare your food. Since day 1 we've taken that responsibility very seriously and it will always be job number one.

Have a great weekend and week and we look forward to serving you soon.

02/12/2026

We have some Valentine's week specials to tell you about. First let me say congratulations to our Super Bowl winners. The game was a bit boring but at least the 4 of you came away with some money!

We'll start with something red and classic: chocolate and strawberries. This week the muffin will have both in the form of roasted strawberries and chocolate chips.

For the soup we've got sausage and beans. Three sausages ranging from mile to hot, with black beans and pinto beans as well as onions, peppers and carrots and plenty of seasoning.

The main star of the week I'm expecting to be the breakfast. We are bringing back one of your faves from a while back, the mushroom risotto cakes. Made with love from arborio rice and three types of mushrooms, we'll top each one grilled tomato slices, two eggs, and hollandaise sauce. Includes your choice of home fries, more tomato slices, or fresh cut fruit.

Finally, starting tomorrow we are serving a house made chicken cutlet sandwich. Boneless breast pounded thin and flash fried then served on a seeded roll with sundried tomato pesto, sharp provolone cheese and roasted red peppers. Add any of your favorite side dishes for a small upcharge.

Looks like we are finally getting a break from the cold. I, for one, am completely over the cold and snow. Pitchers and catchers are reporting for spring training so only about 6 weeks until baseball. Have a great weekend and week and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Good luck to everyone that bought a square. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
02/08/2026

Good luck to everyone that bought a square. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

02/05/2026

Today is the day I get back on track with our Thursday posts. Super Bowl Sunday is only a few days away. We have started a square pool and there are plenty of boxes available. Ask your server if you're interested.

We'll start with the soup and giving a nod to both teams. New England is known for their chowder and Seattle for their abundance of fresh fish. This week we'll a seafood chowder with clams, crab and fresh fish.

For our muffin, we'll be baking a peach pie muffin.

Breakfast entree will be a Flaming Hot Benny. We're replacing the Canadian bacon with our chorizo, then adding the hollandaise, cherry peppers and Cajun seasoning. Includes your choice of potatoes, fruit or tomato slices.

Our newest sandwich will be a Croque Madame. It is a grilled ham and Swiss cheese on French bread that gets topped with a bechamel sauce and a sunny egg. Definitely a knife and fork kinda sandwich. We're including fries on this one.

If you're not a football fan the Winter Olympics are also starting this weekend. We'll have them on the television as much as possible. Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you soon.

01/25/2026

As predicted, we will not be open tomorrow. Looks like a big "dig out" day with a chance of more snow!

Hope you all are enjoying the day. Be safe and we'll post about Tuesday at some point tomorrow.

01/24/2026

Two important things. One, like most of the world we will be closed tomorrow. Be safe out there. Ill update about Monday at some point tomorrow but honestly that's not looking promising either.

Two, this is the second week in a row I forgot to post the new specials. We prepared the specials but I plain forgot to post them. I should be back on track this Thursday.

Again, be safe and we'll see you soon.
