A note from our hearts to yours 🤍
Starting today, Guru’s will be open only for takeouts while we have food available.
This Christmas is especially emotional for us — it’s the first time our entire family will be under one roof, and for that, we are endlessly grateful. Thank you to everyone who prayed, supported, and stood by us so our girls could finally come home.
Over the past year, I’ve done everything I could to save Guru’s current location — countless conversations, negotiations, and sleepless nights. But behind the scenes, we’ve also been facing something deeply personal: our chef’s health.
What began as mild symptoms earlier this year became more serious by September. As much as my heart wants to keep pushing forward with takeout and fighting every battle at once, right now the priority has to be his health. There is no Guru’s without the people who give it life.
This is not goodbye.
When he is stronger, we will find a new home for Guru’s.
To our kids — and when I say kids, I mean the 129 of you who helped build this big Guru’s family — you will always be the most important part of Guru’s. We are incredibly proud of each one of you, and we love you more than words can say.
To our kitchen team and staff — thank you for your hard work, dedication, and heart. As I’ve always said, go chase your big dreams. We will always be here to cheer you on and guide you in any way we can.
We are also deeply grateful to everyone who donated to Beverly’s fundraiser earlier this year. The nearly $3,000 raised will help us get through the coming weeks, and your generosity means more than you know.
Until then, I will still be here — cooking daily tiffins and catering in exchange for donations. This is how we keep Guru’s kitchen alive and Guru’s Guardian Angels sanctuary safe, fed, and cared for.
To request tiffins, please join our WhatsApp community.
📲 We’ll be attaching a QR code with this post for easy access to menus, availability, and pickup details.
From COVID… to a five-year adoption journey… to this moment — you have been our pillar since 2015. Your love has carried us through storms I never thought we’d survive.
If you’re craving something, please reach out. I would love to cook for you — even if my style is a little different from Chef’s 😉
It will still be made with the same love, intention, and purpose.
Thank you for standing by our family.
We wish you peace, warmth, and a beautiful holiday season.
The doors may pause. The kitchen and the heart never will. ❤️🙏🏽
With all our gratitude,
Priya & the Guru’s family
