We are opening late today, Sunday May 31st at 9 AM. We will also have a limited menu all day as well as limited takeout (no call in orders). We have someone out today unexpectedly, but still wanted to open! We will have tons of donuts as usual, all the coffee, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, scrambles, tot bowls, and lunch sandwiches, etc. No pancakes and waffles today because we are only working with one cook (me 😇). Thank you for understanding!

It’s our 10th birthday on Thursday!!!! We are bringing back some of our favorite specials to make it a fun one! We will be open from 8-4 (two extra hours!!) with both specials all day. Specials are just for our birthday 🎂
Tofu Florentine:
A buttered and grilled Philly muffin topped with tofu scramble, sautéed spinach, and our lemony hollandaise.
Tiramisu pancakes:
A new take on our classic- two fluffy buttermilk pancakes layered with a rich cashew cream made with our house espresso, topped with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and a small scoop of ice cream. Drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with syrup.

The Tasty is turning 10!!! One entire decade of my favorite place on earth. So, we are gonna celebrate ⭐️
🎂Thursday (May 21st) is our actual birthday, so we are having fun all day. We will have specials, tons of baked goods and donuts, and good vibes. We are staying open an extra two hours to make sure we can see as many of you as possible- we will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM!
On Sunday (May 24th) we have a vendor market planned. Some of our favorites will be set up outside starting at 10 AM until ~2 PM. We will be open our regular hours from 8 AM until 2 PM, but it’ll be extra fun and you can shop while you wait for a table or you can just stop by for a coffee and browse!

We have been making fun sandwiches for ourselves (and some special regulars) and everyone is in agreement that tater tots belong on a breakfast sandwich, so here we go..

New menu item spotlight:
⭐️The Tasty⭐️
Our new signature breakfast sandwich is a tofu egg and cheese topped with coconut bacon, arugula and honey mustard! Can be made on a Kaiser roll, or an everything or plain Merzbachers Philly muffin.
Open every week from Wednesday to Sunday, 8 AM to 2 PM. Full menu is available all day now! Weekdays are great for short wait times, including pickup (usually only 15-20 minutes).

Open all weekend 8-2! Full menu alllll day. I have been trying so hard to keep up with the donut demand. I love that our little vegan diner is just a donut shop to some 🍩

⭐️New menu item spotlight ⭐️
We updated our menu in January and we have some fun new things that deserve a little attention. Including…
Buffalo tempeh wrap! Kale, shredded carrots, and red cabbage tossed in our Caesar dressing- with Buffalo tempeh. Comes with your choice of side.
We have been working towards using less processed fake meats and instead making more of the proteins in house. In addition to getting it in a wrap, you can add buffalo tempeh to any salad. We also started making all of the fried chicken in house- which can be found on salads, chicken and waffles, and the wraps/honey mustard fried chicken sandwich ⭐️ it’s a good time to come try something new!

Living two blocks away from work is a blessing and a curse..but tonight we will call it a blessing. The warmer weather has me craving chickpea tuna, so I walked back to work, listened to Built to Spill’s - Keep it like a secret ..and made a big batch. Vibes were high, and now we all get to have this OG Tasty classic as a special this week!
Chickpea tuna with fresh dill and lemon 🍋 comes in a wrap with shredded romaine. Your choice of side! We don’t have gluten free wraps, but can be made on gluten free bread 🍞

Hey everyone! We have thought about what is best for tomorrow. Everyone agreed that staying open would give us an opportunity to raise money for a good cause..SO! Tomorrow: Friday, January 30th, we will be offering a sliding scale Protest Platter and all of the sales from it will be donated to . F**K ice, we support the general strike, pay in cash if you can! Let’s try to raise some money for the folks doing important work in our community.
Our Platter-which we are calling the Protest Platter for this occasion- will be available for a sliding scale donation of $10-$25. You can donate directly to Juntos and show us proof, or pay the donation in cash (or card if that’s the only option) and we will donate everything at the end of the day.

Have you ever wished for a breakfast sandwich served on fluffy buttermilk pancakes, but never thought you would find it because you are vegan? WELL.. we like having fun over here and made these on a slow day for staff and realized they are fu***ng delicious. Tomorrow only- a tofu egg and cheese sandwich with tempeh bacon served on two buttermilk pancakes with a side of real maple syrup 🥞 $16 Pancake Breakfast sandwich! Whatever you want to call it! The Nacho burrito is back! A breakfast burrito filled with tofu scramble, black beans, red onion and jalapeño. Topped with nacho cheese sauce, sour cream and chives. Served with a side of tots. As many of you know, things are changing up a bit around here starting in January! The other half of the Tasty (Kate) will be finishing out the year with us, and then we will be starting the new year with a new menu and some new folks in the kitchen with me. We have been nonstop recipe testing and planning and we are super excited to show you what we have worked so hard on.
We will be taking a break from December 24th-January 1st. When we reopen on January 2nd we will be rolling out the new menu ANDDDD BIG HUGE NEWS: the full menu will be available ALL DAY from the moment we open. This is huge for us!! And hopefully you. Come see us in the next two weeks before our break 💕
