It’s been overwhelming to hear from y’all and to hear the stories of your baology experiences - please forgive us for our tardiness in responding as we’ve been trying to go through all the messages.
One of the best things that came out of the pandemic was seeing the best of people. Folks who stood up and showed up - putting themselves to work in service to those in our community. It was a light in a very dark time. Two of the folks we were fortunate to meet were Brett Naylor & Bob Truitt of Wilder who provided emotional support with Bob also coming in to help us prepare community meals.
They and their team have gone beyond again and have graciously offered us the opportunity to do a pop-up at Wilder with proceeds coming to us to support us. Yet another reminder of the greatness of this Philly food community.
With that, we are grateful to announce we will be launching the “with Wilder” series on Sunday 5/21 at 6pm. Links to reservations are here: https://www.exploretock.com/wilderphilly/
Here is the menu we will be serving for the evening:
1️⃣Small Bites: potstickers, gwa bao, spring roll
2️⃣Kama (Grilled Hamachi Collar)
3️⃣Hotpot w TW-style dipping sauce
4️⃣Whole Suckling Pig w family-style accompaniments
5️⃣Crème Caramel w Tropical Fruits
Thank you again to all of you who have reached out. We are humbled and look forward to connecting with each one of you. ❤️
With love & gratitude - Judy & Andy

To our beloved community - we’ve been quiet the past few months because it’s been, and continues to be, a very difficult time.
baology started out as an idea to bring a little bit of Taiwanese culture & spirit through food. The hope was to offer a place where people could meet, gather, and build community. We have loved being a part of your lives - the relationships and partnerships that developed continue to be deeply impactful and remind us of the best of what this city has to offer.
But as we grieve, heal, and try to move on, we face lingering challenges. In the era of the “good times only show” that is a lot of social media, so many hide in the darkness when things don’t go right or go to plan. That is where we’ve been living for the past few months - struggling because of the shame, guilt, and failure that comes from closing the shop.
Through the support and kindness of friends, we’ve built up the courage to do what is the hardest, and can feel at times to be the most shameful, thing to do - to ask for help.
We need help to properly wind down and close this chapter so we can start looking forward. We are hoping that, if possible, you will consider helping us with this. We are in need of some funds in order to deal with the open issues and would appreciate your consideration of any amount that you are willing and/or able to contribute. Please find more information in the link in our bio or feel free to reach out directly through DM/email. There are corresponding thank you gifts as a token of our appreciation for your help.
And most importantly, for those who have struggled or are struggling, please know that you are not alone. We need to be transparent about the struggles and challenges we face as small business owners and individual humans to remove the stigma that surrounds missteps, mistakes, and, in some cases, failure. If you need someone to talk to, need support or help - please reach out. We know what that level of stress, pressure, and isolation feels like - no one should ever feel that way. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. ❤️
