Last night was our final service as Fiore Fine Foods at 757 South Front St. Ed & I have had so many emotions with the decision to close and make our next move. Deciding to close our first restaurant was disappointing, but necessary.
Thank you for the kind words, the hugs, the well wishes, the reservations made, the kind cards and gifts, the friends that came from out of town, the neighbors from around the corner, the reminders of your celebrations at the restaurant we built, and letting us know that we will be missed. I do not know how to truly express how all of that has meant to us, and has even taken us aback in some ways, and has helped propel us forward in confidence towards our next stage.
Our dream to open the restaurant was certainly lofty and not at all a guarantee. We were just two chefs that wanted to cook food together, and put together our restaurant experience with the desire to take care of the people that worked for us.
So we took our shot. And it worked because we tried so hard to cook delicious food, and to try our absolute best to take care of our staff. And because we stubbornly confronted every pitfall, and kept pushing.
But mostly it worked because of all of you. The regulars who made us your go-to spot, the first time daters, the anniversary and birthday celebrations, the weddings, rehearsal dinners, baby and bridal showers, all of you who let us into your lives and your celebrations . Thank you.
And the biggest thank you to our staff. All of you. Over the years we have had the privilege of working with some of the best people on this planet, sincerely. People took a chance on us no-namers. We were new coming to the restaurant game in Philly. They signed up to work with us and built a culture where the only rule that truly mattered is you have to be nice to the people you work with.
It hasn’t always been perfect. But perfect is boring.
Thanks for believing in us and for trying hard. Thank you for sticking it out with us.
We are sad, but fulfilled, to close this chapter.
The best memories are created by times well spent. Fiore Fine Foods gave us moments to remember. 🤓

Second to last weekend of gelato pint pick ups before we switch locations and go on a hiatus, don’t miss out this week, they’re pretty darn tasty. We have strawberry cheesecake | tiramisu | dark chocolate fudge swirl sorbetto | mint brownie chip (not pictured) . Personally I’d get them all, but that’s just me 😉 #🍨
