Good food tells a story—and this one is personal. 🇻🇪

Step into an intimate chef’s tasting with the founders of Puyero, where every course is a reflection of Venezuelan tradition, culture, and lived experience. From bold, comforting flavors to the subtle details behind each dish, this multi-course menu is designed to take you on a journey—not just through cuisine, but through the passion and purpose that built Puyero from the ground up.

Throughout the evening, you’ll hear directly from the founders as they share the inspiration behind their concept, the roots of their recipes, and the cultural significance woven into every bite. It’s a rare chance to connect with the people behind the food in a setting that’s intentionally small, warm, and engaging. Expect more than just a meal—this is about community, storytelling, and experiencing Venezuelan culture in a way that stays with you long after the last course.

Seats are limited by design to keep the experience personal. Early bird pricing ends this Sunday, May 10th—secure your spot before it’s gone!

The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to share a recap from the James Beard Foundation Taste America event. One. It was a special evening celebrating food, culture, and community.

We are especially proud to see our talented Hispanic chefs represented on this important stage.

A special shoutout to our Hispanic chefs:

• Yun Fuentes – Puerto Rican Potato Fritter with Spiny Lobster Relleno, Yellow Coconut Curry, and Caribbean XO Sauce
• Jose Garces – Guava Tres Leches with guava purée, coconut crème, and toasted lime-coconut chips
• Gilberto Arends & Manuel Villasmil – Reina Pepiada Arepa with Chicken-Avocado Salad
• Frankie Ramirez – Corn Tostada with Osetra Caviar, avocado, huitlacoche mousse, radish, and cilantro
• Amaryllis Rivera-Nassar – Ensalada de Bacalao y Coco

The event also brought together many talented chefs from different backgrounds, including Mebruka Kane, Tyler Akin, Chance Anies, Ange Branca, Sam Pritchard, Michael Brenfleck, Nicholas Elmi, David Koszyk, Emily Riddell, Justin Shwetzer, Evan Snyder, and Michelle Wallace.

This diversity of chefs and flavors is what made the event so special. From Latin and Caribbean dishes to flavors from around the world, each chef brought something unique to the table.

The James Beard Foundation continues to support chefs and independent restaurants, helping create opportunities for all.

Let’s continue to celebrate and uplift our diverse culinary community.
