Campbell's Place is a gastropub, American restaurant, and beer bar situated in Chestnut Hill. It exudes an old-world atmosphere that resembles an English pub, combining a lively ambiance with affordable New American cuisine and an extensive selection of fine draught beers and wines. Situated on Germantown Avenue below Gravers Lane, the restaurant serves customers in a cozy booth, at the 100-year-old bar, or in the upstairs dining area. Campbell's Place has been a Chestnut Hill landmark for almost four decades and was taken over by longtime Chestnut Hill residents Vanessa Noonan Mullen and Rob Mullen in October 2008. While preserving the timeless charm of Campbell's Place, Rob Mullen intends to concentrate on making delicious and high-quality dishes with fresh local ingredients, taking advantage of seasonal produce. The head chef has attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, worked for Grand Hyatt Manhattan and Beaver Creek locations before starting his own catering company that operates at music venues such as Tweeter, Wachovia and Tower Theatre.
