What people say
Tex Mex Connection, located on E Walnut Street in North Wales, has received mixed reviews from various newspapers and online sources. Here's a roundup of what critics and customers have to say about this Tex-Mex restaurant and bar & grill:
One review published in the Philadelphia Magazine back in 2016 praised the restaurant for its lively atmosphere, attentive staff, and extensive menu offerings. The reviewer particularly enjoyed the margaritas and fajitas but noted that some dishes lacked spiciness. However, it is important to note that this review is quite old now.
On the other hand, a review published more recently (2021) by The Intelligencer newspaper complained about the restaurant's slow service and mediocre food quality. The reviewer found the salsa and guacamole to be bland while also criticizing the tacos for their lack of proper seasoning. Additionally, there were several complaints about undercooked meat.
Some customer comments available on Yelp echoed similar concerns regarding slow service time at Tex Mex Connection. A customer wrote in 2020 that "the service was extremely slow". Another customer complained in March of 2021 that they had to wait an hour for their food to arrive.
However, there are still positive reviews available for Tex Mex connection too. One recent TripAdvisor review notes how satisfied they were with their experience dining at this restaurant: "Our meal was delicious - we started off with their homemade chips & salsa which were amazing! Our server was really attentive as well."
Despite some negative reviews over recent years, many people still consider Tex Mex Connection as one of their favorite places to enjoy southwestern-style cuisine in North Wales.
