Did you know that Chimay is a not for profit organization? The revenue from the global sales of these benchmark Trappist brews support the monks of Scourmont Abbey, and every euro of the excess is donated via the Chimay-Wartoise Foundation and the monks' Cistercian Solidarity association.

From September 28 through October 4, one dollar from every Chimay sold will benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's work fighting childhood cancer. This locally-founded nonprofit is very close to our hearts. Their tireless work to raise funds to find the cures for children's cancer is inspiring to our Monk's Café family, and we support them with our annual Pliny the Younger Day fundraiser. Please join us in boosting Alex's and enjoy a classic Trappist brew at once!

We are excited to once again be able to pour this first draft offering from legendary Brasserie des Trappistes Rochefort. Inspired by a 100 year-old strong l***r recipe previously brewed at the monastery, this is a triple-style, keg conditioned blond b**r with light hoppy aroma and a slightly fruity finish. 7.6%abv

"If I was on death row, the steak frites salad from this place would be my go-to last meal. I'd wait 5 hours to get this food and I dont even like to eat. I've also tried burgers from here that I would fight a bear for, so I'm not sure you can go wrong ordering food from this place. Plus I love the music and cozy atmosphere."

Summer in Maine is practically perfect in every way, and so is Allagash Brewing Saison.

This is a Belgian-influenced Farmhouse ale with barley, rye, oats & dark Belgian candi sugar. We're tasting notes of black pepper & tropical fruit from the yeast, and a bit of citrus from the hops. Refreshingly dry finish. 6.1%abv

Now on Draft: Brasserie Dupont Saison Dupont

This benchmark saison has been brewed at the farm-brewery since 1844, and is still owned and operated by the same family. Peppery hops and fruity esters are derived solely from the hops and yeast. This is the Saison that inspired hundreds of brewers from around the world; still perfection.

1920: Passed on to Louis Dupont
1945: Passed to Sylva Rosier
1964: Passed to Marc Rosier
2002: Marc's nephew, Oliver Dedeycker, assumes brewing duties and remains brewmaster today.

It's 200 miles from Monk's Café to Suarez Family Brewery in Livingston, NY. That's a long commute for a b**r, so we're bringing their spritzy + summer-ready Cabana Pils to you.

Now on draft, Cabana Pils is a seasonal German-style pilsner brewed for these warmer months. Made with a bit of wheat in the malt bill ,and hopped with Styrian Goldings and German Saphir hops. Notes of Makrut lime, lime blossoms and limeade. 4.5%abv
