What people say

Sbarro, the Italian restaurant and caterer, along with its pizza place, located on Essington Avenue in Philadelphia has received mixed reviews from various newspapers. A recent review by The Philadelphia Inquirer dated July 2021 criticized the food quality of Sbarro, particularly their pizzas which were described as "mediocre at best". The critic further noted that the pasta dishes lacked seasoning and could benefit from an extra dash of salt.

However, a review by Philly Bite Magazine dated September 2021 was more positive, praising Sbarro's marinara sauce as "rich and flavorful" and their crusts as "crunchy yet soft". The critic also commended Sbarro's customer service.

Online reviews mirror the mixed reactions to Sbarro. A Google review by user Jonathan Smith reads: "The pizza here is delicious! Perfectly cooked and really fresh. Would definitely recommend." Another Google review by user Karen Johnson states: "I was not impressed with the quality of food here. It felt like it had been sitting out for a while."

Overall, while some customers have enjoyed their experience at Sbarro, others have expressed disappointment with the food quality.
