Craft & A Cocktail – Boho Copper Overglaze Ceramic Bells

Saturday, November 28th | 12–2 PM

Come and make two wonderfully wonky, boho-inspired ceramic bells that make the loveliest sound! Perfect for the tree, a window, or anywhere really! (Actual bell is around 4" tall)

We'll use pinch-pot and slab-building techniques, adding folk-art patterns and textures with sgraffito, mark-making, engobes and underglazes. Plenty of inspiration on hand!

For a little extra magic, I'll add real copper overglaze to a pattern area of your choice.

No experience needed! All materials, firing and a cocktail or mocktail included.

Your hand-tied bells will be ready to collect in around three weeks, just in time for Christmas!

Introducing our Female-Centric Book Club!

Our first gathering will be Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 6:30–8 PM, upstairs at Dharma Bums.

We'll meet on the third Wednesday of each month, bringing together women who love books, ideas, lively discussions and perhaps a little healthy disagreement!

Our first book is We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It's short, thought-provoking and a wonderful starting point for conversations about feminism, equality and the world we live in. If you would lile a copy to borrow, please reach out to [email protected]

Please read the book before our first gathering so we can dive straight into the discussion.

The book club is also free to attend. We'll take a little break over the December holidays before picking things up again in January

With the Fall, comes the mushrooms. Being a vegetarian restaurant (amongst other things), we LOVE mushrooms. In every shape and form!

Here are some lovely snaps from our recent toadstool Garlands workshop. Aren't they just magical? Each workshopper made their own flush! They glazed them during the session too...helped along by a tamarind margarita or two! Don't miss out on these workshops! We just launched our Fall and winter ones on the website!

As the nights draw in and the temperatures start to drop, we're welcoming a couple of old and new friends to the Dharma Bums stage!

First up, The Wandering Root! A seasonal twist on our classic dinner salad. A warm medley of root vegetables on a bed of spinach, topped with an umami drizzle, torn burrata and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds.

Next up on this evening's setlist, making a welcome return, is our old friend Shroomin' Pot Pie! Wild mushrooms swimming in a secret sauce, all tucked beneath a golden, flaky pastry lid and ready to jump straight into your belly.

A setlist almost as satisfying as a 40-minute Dark Star. Well...almost.
