We are sad to announce that
SawTown Tavern won’t be reopening.
We took our time and made sure there was no alternative, and there just isn’t.
COVID changed everything,
and this is the right decision for us.
We deeply appreciate those who found refuge here and joined us on our quirky adventure.
It was a wonderful privilege to share our lives, our dearest lifelong friends, our art, and the art of so many amazing folks, with Tacony.
We have wonderful memories, and we hope you’ll carry the good spirit of SawTown with you wherever we find ourselves next.
And sincerely, we Thank You
for five amazing years. 💜✨
Peace, y’all
Troy & Charles

Our hearts are truly broken tonight.
Our beloved bartender Bonnie passed on this evening.
She fought a valiant fight against cancer, and left us while surrounded always by her loving and stalwart family.
Hold them in your thoughts and prayers tonight. We’ve lost a dear friend.
It occurred to us she chose the 13th to move on, a number she kinda grooved on.
Bonnie was a hero. A mother who did all that had to be done for her kids.
Three of us locals sat on the steps one day as the PGW truck pulled up, and we all held our breath until we saw which door (none of ours, today...) they knocked on. We chuckled, and sighed, and Knew. We’re in this s**t together.
We shared time and space and truth. We loved one another completely, with all our foibles and insecurities.
I’m happy we shared all we shared, and decimated we won’t share more. But we had each other’s backs. And when this ends, as it does, what more is there?
Soar on my beautiful Sister. 💜
