On Tuesday, May 5th, join us for a special 3-course tasting menu to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

While many mistake the 5th of May for Mexican Independence Day, the true story of Cinco de Mayo is one of a struggle that led to an unexpected victory. True independence was declared over 50 years prior; May 5th instead marks the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
It was on this day that a vastly outnumbered Mexican force, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza, stood their ground against the French Empire, the most formidable military of the era. This triumph was never about a change in government, but a testament to Mexican resilience. By reclaiming this history, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo not as a national birthday, but as a global symbol of defiance and cultural pride. For our tasting menu, we will be reimagining some traditional Mexican dishes, aiming to evoke a spirit of perseverance.

Guests will be welcomed with complimentary Mezcalitos.

The regular dinner menu will not be available.

If you have dined with us before, you have probably caught yourself staring at this incredible installation, our alebrije by , a self-taught artist working out of North Carolina.

La Baja's alebrije is inspired by the Monarch butterfly and its migration, the elephant represents abundance, wisdom and fortune, the octopus represents resourcefulness, and adaptability. These are fundamental traits we identify with and inspire us in the creation of this alebrije which we want to share with our guests while they dine with us. 💙

Thank you, Carina for these beautiful photos of our space!

One standout feature is the brunch selection, which offers delightful dishes like Eggs Benedict, Enmoladas, and Huevos Rancheros—perfect for brightening any day. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to gather with friends or family.

For those seeking something extraordinary, La Baja Ambler presents unique specials that elevate traditional Mexican cuisine. The Seared Scallops over pipicha cream topped with watermelon radish and morels highlight the restaurant's commitment to using fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. The pipicha herb adds a distinctive touch that enhances the dish's overall profile.

Another must-try is the Carnitas de Pato—a whole roasted duck served with bao buns, flour tortillas, jicama salad, and housemade salsas. This dish exemplifies a creative fusion of flavors that promises to impress even the most discerning palates.

Desserts at La Baja Ambler are equally enticing; grilled chamomile-infused apricots paired with vanilla ice cream and mint oil offer a refreshing end to your meal.
