We made a life-size violin cake last weekend! Here’s a little fun-fact about me, I played the violin from 3rd-12th grade! However, I was very undisciplined and never practiced, so I was never particularly good. Now my kid plays violin, and hopefully they will continue to enjoy playing! Did you know there’s a very cool violin shop just a couple blocks up from us?

I tried to post this morning, but Instagram wasn’t cooperating! Our rainbow bars are back again for pride month and this year $1 from each bar will be donated to the Attic youth center. The Attic supports LGBTQ youth right here in Philadelphia! I’m also thinking I’ll do a matching donation to our local drag queen story time. This year, more than ever, it feels important for our shop to support our friends and family in the LGBTQ community. We love you.

What’s your favorite flavor of cake? Believe or not, this cake is tomato soup flavored! It was such an unusual request, we actually agreed to try their recipe because we were curious. It was actually pretty tasty, but I don’t think we will be adding it into the normal rotation. You’ll just have to be content with carrot cake.
This cake was a gift sent to the folks at Campbell’s, I hope they thought it was cute!

I was never a scout, but I think my husband was once the youngest type of Boy Scout. However, I know my grandfather was an Eagle Scout because I have his amazing sash at my house! I know it’s so much hard work to get to this level. It’s an honor to be part of their celebration for this special achievement.

It’s wedding season! I really love this vibrant, colorful take on a floral scroll. Plus, if you know me, you know I’m a fan of a whimsical cake topper! These delightful geese are quite the pair.

Welp, it may be cold and rainy, but at least you can still eat a summery pie. Come by today, get a little treat, and then go home and get cozy!
What’s your updated long weekend plan? Maybe we will go see a movie and finish a puzzle and do some legos.
