The idea for Little Susie's was born when Brianne started bringing in her homemade pies and quiches to share with her co-workers at St. Christopher's Children Hospital, where she works as a nurse. Her pies were so popular that her co-workers offered to pay for holiday pies, which sparked the idea of starting a bakery.
Dan, on the other hand, went to Temple University and started a band called TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb. While touring the country, he realized that local coffee shops and small businesses were where cities and towns really showed themselves.
