Today we had the honor of celebrating and remembering our dear friend Bert. After the parade, family and friends stopped by as we held a small ceremony to show our appreciation for just how much he meant to all of us.
The love and support from everyone truly meant so much. In his honor, we now have a bench that will continue his legacy as a lifelong “Burg” resident and someone who meant so much to this community.
So next time you stop by, take a seat on Bert’s bench — just like he would. ❤️

I would just like to take a minute and honor an amazing friend to the Ice Cream Post. Bert lived across the street and actually owned our building in the 80s! You could always find him outside sweeping up and keeping not only his but the whole block clean! Bert would always call me to report if the trash can was overflowing so that was one thing I never have to worry about😂. We're gonna miss ya Bert. You always looked out for us and the shop and it'll never be the same on Ash st😢. -❤️ your family at the ICP
