The Piña Asada has been one of our most beloved cocktails this spring — and it all starts with our coconut fat-washed Catedral Mezcal.
Fat-washing is a technique where coconut oil is blended with the spirit, then chilled and strained away, leaving behind an incredibly smooth, silky texture and subtle sweetness you simply can’t get any other way. Paired with fresh pineapple, lime, agave, and black walnut bitters, this drink is tropical, smoky, and impossibly smooth.
Sadly, this fan favorite is leaving our menu after this week — so come savor one while you still can. 🍹

Meet me at Tavern this weekend
05/21/2026
It’s giving DRAMA. It’s giving history. It’s giving blue cheese olives. Welcome to this week’s “Talk of the Tavern” — and honey, we saved the BEST seat for this one.
We are so thrilled to sit down with the legendary — longtime owner of Tavern on Camac and a true cornerstone of Philadelphia’s gay bar scene. This man has STORIES, and we are here for every single one of them.
This week, we’re uncovering the mystery behind those iconic blue cheese olives 🫒, getting Stephen’s REAL thoughts on Bowen Yang (yes, we went there 👀), and finding out which early aughts pop diva had a little something to do with Tavern’s success.
Enjoy the interview — and come Tavern, your seat is waiting

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Mexico, 1934 — Journey through the lens of legendary photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. At just 26, Cartier-Bresson arrived in Mexico City, stranded after a failed French ethnographic mission. Rather than return home, he stayed for nine months, living among the people, wandering the streets, and capturing the soul of a country with an intimacy that would define his career. His time in Mexico — from the gritty slums of the capital to the indigenous communities of Juchitán — became the crucible of his famous “decisive moment” philosophy: the art of freezing life at its most authentic and alive.
The black-and-white photographs featured are a window into that world — raw, human, and quietly surreal.
At Tavern, we’ve crafted a 3-course tasting menu paired with 3 exceptional tequilas from Don Julio, honoring the spirit and flavors of Mexico in every sense.

Éirinn go BRO!!! That’s how we say Happy St. Patrick’s Day in the Gayborhood. 🍀
To celebrate this famous short king, we’ve got a St. Paddy’s Day menu that even a leprechaun couldn’t resist.
From our hearty smoked haddock chowder to a cider-braised pork collar with colcannon mashed potatoes, you’ll be saying “Kiss me, I’m Irish” in no time.
Our March holiday menu also features pan-seared halibut with braised leeks, lamb loin with roasted Brussels sprouts, and a chocolate Guinness stout cake with Baileys cream and Tullamore D.E.W. whiskey caramel — that looks so much like mashed potatoes you’ll be asking… but is it cake?
The craic is mighty at Tavern through Tuesday, March 17th. Come celebrate with us! 🍺☘️
